I’ve completed the rewriting and editing of Chapter 3, and today I sent my supervisors revised Chapters 2, 3 and 4.
These chapters – the literature reviews and methodology – are closely connected, so it was essential to validate the positioning of the theories.
Writing a thesis takes a slightly different journey, and I do not write the drafts in numerical order. I have gone back and forth between Chapters 2 to 7, and the actual order I completed the writing in was Chapters 5, 6, 7, 4, 2 and 3. I am now finalising Chapter 1, the introductory chapter, which is the most important.
Cooking at home
My daily routine has been pretty much the same as before coronavirus: writing, editing, cooking, baking, cleaning, and indoor exercise. But I cook more often for joy.
I try to use fresh vegetables (after washing them well) and plan to use them up. Last week, I cooked five vegetables with demi-glace served with mashed potatoes, mushroom lasagne using gluten-free pasta sheets, and shrimp and egg fried rice.
I can also see the availability of online supermarket shopping is returning to normal. Even a slot for the following day is now available. I truly, truly feel that the delivery people in my town are great, and their service quality and consideration to hygiene is steadily increasing. I’ve come to show more appreciation to them by expressing gratitude and some more little words.
My achievement in week 170
- Completed editing Chapter 3.
Goals for week 171
- Rewrite and edit Chapter 1 – the introductory chapter .
- Compile all the appendices for the thesis.
